Cookie Policy
Last updated: 15 April 2026
Cookies and similar storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) are small files and keys saved by your browser. We use them for two things: making the site work, and (with your permission) measuring which ads helped bring visitors to us.
The choice you have
On your first visit you see a banner with Reject and Accept buttons. They are equally valid choices and the site works the same either way. Your preference is saved locally so you don't see the banner again.
If you reject: We load only the strictly necessary bits needed to run the site. No marketing tools load. No tracking cookies get set.
If you accept: Everything below under "Marketing" loads too.
Necessary storage (always on)
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent_v1 | Remembers your cookie-banner choice so we don't show it again. | 1 year |
Marketing (only if you accept)
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Meta Pixel | Identifies your browser to Meta so they can attribute a form submission to an ad click. | 90 days |
| _fbc | Meta Pixel | Stores the ID of the Facebook ad you clicked (if any). Set only if your URL had a fbclid parameter. | 90 days |
| _ga | Google Analytics 4 | Identifies your browser for session-level analytics. | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Stream-specific state for GA4. | 2 years |
| gclid_data (localStorage) | Our site | Stores the ID of the Google ad you clicked, so we can attribute conversions back. | 90 days |
| _clck, _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Session replay and heatmap analytics. | 1 year / session |
How to change your mind
To change your choice, open your browser's developer tools, clear thecookie_consent_v1 value for this site, and reload. The banner will reappear. We're adding a "Cookie Settings" link in the footer soon.
You can also block or delete cookies for all sites in your browser's privacy settings. That works too. Blocking necessary cookies may mean we show you the banner on every visit (because we can't remember you clicked something).
Server-to-server tracking (no cookies involved)
When you submit our quote form, we also send a copy of your form data to Meta and Google directly from our server, so they can match your form submission to an ad you clicked. This is called "Conversions API" (Meta) or "Enhanced Conversions" (Google). It does not set any cookies on your device.
We only do this if you accepted marketing cookies. If you rejected, we do not send your data to Meta or Google at all.
Questions or objections
See our Privacy Policy for how to exercise your rights, or use our objection form to ask for your data to be deleted from Meta and Google.
Updates
We will update this policy when we add or remove any tracking tool. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page is always current.
